Michael Thoreau Lacey who is an American mathematician was born on September 26, 1959. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1987. From here he received his Ph.D. under the guidance of Walter Philipp. Read more: Michael Lacey | Wikipedia and Michael Lacey |Math Alliance

Mr. Lacey has touched on many great mysteries relating to mathematics and problem-solving. A few of these areas included probability, ergodic theories, but the most important of all was probably his work on harmonic analysis.

Mr. Lacey had held his first postdoctoral position at Louisiana State University which soon led to his and Walter Philipp’s proof of the central limit theorem. This may not sound like a big deal to most people, but for these two, this was the discovery and proof of a lifetime.

After some time, from 1989 through 1996, Mr. Lacey also held a position at Indiana University which is where he received an additional award. In 1996, he had joined up with the faculty at Georgia Tech, researching new information and studying previously thought out theories and ideas.

He was recognized through forms of multiple awards including the Guggenheim and the Simons Foundations. Since this time, he has been Mathematics Professor at Georgia Tech.

After his time as a professor, in 2012, Mr. Lacey became a man who was now part of the American Mathematical Society. All of his great works and determination have made Mr. Lacey one of the great mathematicians and one that is surely going to go down in history.

From his research on vast theories to his awesome findings, there are not too many other mathematicians out there that have accomplished the things he has accomplished.

On top of all of this, he is still out investigating certain theories, probabilities, and much more that is still unknown to many people, let alone mathematicians. Learn more about Michael Lacey: https://www.genealogy.math.ndsu.nodak.edu/id.php?id=62509

He is definitely a man worth looking into if you’re interested in theories or probability, even if you just want to learn something new, this man will not leave you short of learning new things.
